How Photo Limits Work on the Free Plan

Updated August 25, 2026

The limit itself

The Free plan includes 15 photos per inventory document, counted across every room and item in that document combined — not per item.

What counts toward the limit

Item photos and room photos both count. Floor plans, receipts, warranty documents, and appraisal documents do not count toward the 15-photo limit — those are tracked and limited separately (warranty and appraisal documents specifically require Pro regardless of count).

What happens past 15

You can keep attaching photos beyond 15 — nothing is blocked in the Builder itself. The limit only affects exports: any photo beyond the 15th is excluded from a Free-plan export, and the export clearly notes how many photos were left out rather than silently dropping them with no explanation.

Which photos get included, if you're over the limit

The first 15 photos, in the order your rooms and items appear in the Builder, are the ones included. If a specific photo matters most, make sure the room or item it belongs to is positioned earlier in your inventory, or upgrade to include everything.
